John Mahoney age 94 of Highlands died peacefully at his home with his family beside him on June 5, 2022.

John worked as a Truck Driver for Trans-America Freight Lines for many years before his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and loved Tennis and Bike Riding. He will always be remembered as a loving Brother, Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather.

He served his country honorably in the Navy during the Second World War.

He is predeceased by his wife Virginia (Nee McMullan), Son John "Jack" Mahoney III, Sister Florence Rubin, and Sister Agnes Ernst.

John is survived by Daughter, Barbara, Daughter, Mari, grandson, Craig, Granddaughter, Jacqueline (Aaron), Granddaughter, Christin (Alec), Great-grandson, Elijah, Great-grandson, Jayden, Great-granddaughter, Adriana, Great-grandson, Dean, and Great-grandson, Micheal, Sister, Dolores Dolan, and Brother, Gerard Mahoney.

Funeral services were held on, June 10, 2022, 10:00 am at the Holy Cross, Rumson, NJ, with Father Michael Manning, officiating.

Burial took place in the Bayview Cemetery following the mass.
